| Sotirios Patsilinakos was born in Athens in 1965. He received his Medical Degree in 1989 and his PhD in 2003 both from the Medical School of the University of Athens, Greece. His medical specialty is Cardiology and more specific Interventional Cardiology. In more detail, after he received his medical degree and before being specialized in Cardiology, he served as a rural general practicioner in Ag. Triada, Viotia, Greece from 03/10/91 until 01/05/1993. From 01/09/93 until 30/11/94 he continued working as a general practicioner in “Athinaion” Hospital. In 1995 he began his specialty in cardiology. Initially, he studied General Pathology for one year in 251 General Hospital of Air Force in Athens and he completed his specialization in Evangelismos Hospital, Athens in 1998. He officially received the Cardiology Specialty in 11/03/1998 after oral and written exams. Afterwards he practiced cardiology as a private doctor. In 1999 he was elected Attending Doctor in the Cardiology Department of Konstantopoulio General Hospital of Nea Ionia, Athens, Greece and in 2007 he became Director of the Department, a position that he still holds. He has participated as a speaker in several seminars and conferences. He has more than 200 publications in national and international journals and conferences. He has participated in several research projects and multicentral studies. | |||
