The object of the project is the study of advanced wireless systems with smart antennas at the base station and the device user. These systems are also referred as MIMO (Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output).
The project objectives are to study efficient techniques and MIMO algorithms in order to achieve optimal system performance of third generation (3G) and fourth generation (4G) mobile communications and provide broadband services.
In this context, additional issues related to the increased computational complexity of next generation wireless networks as well as to the optimal design and simulation of wireless networks with smart antennas and MIMO will be considered as well.
