The main objectives of the project are to demonstrate:
that a broadband ATM PON is flexible, reliable and cost-effective
that applications and services using ATM make efficient use of available resources and bandwidth
that such applications and services fulfil real user needs
that system management issues for shared access can be resolved
interoperability between ATM IBC islands through the Pan European ATM Network.
